More Flowers from India

As the summer sets in these parts of India, it becomes unbearable. Everything from grass to trees and soil is parched due to intense heat. The lush vegetation becomes lifeless. There is lot of dust over the leaves making their sheen dull. It looks so drab and dismal.

Yet in this intense heat, the Glumohar trees bloom with beautiful red colored flowers which occur in big bunches on the high branches. Against the hot white skies these looks so pretty and take away some of the drabness. These trees are called “Krishnachura” in Bangla. In the North Eastern parts of India like Bengal and Asssam, the flowers are even prettier.
